Well, well, well... Its seems summer is coming to an end.. You know what that means!! FALL! Isn't that great. *Silence everywhere* I know Its a bummer (At least for me, Im a summer kind of gal). Well at least we have winter fashion to look forward to, and snowy night with a fire going, OH and we can't forget hot chocolate and Pumpkin Spice everything, so I guess it won't be tat bad ;)
To take advantage of this gorgeous weather, the boy and I went to the beach! It was an awesome last day of summer adventure. We packed out bags and drove to Atlantic City, when arriving we stopped at a dinner to have some breakfast. Then it was off to the beach! If you're like me all you want to do is tan, Tan, TAN!
When going to the beach, you don't really need anything at all: your bathing suit, some snacks, a chair and you're golden! At least in my book you'd be good with just those things. I know others who bring their whole house with them when the go to the beach for just a few hours.

Kimono: NetaPorter // Suit: BBS // Shoes: Diamante // Glasses: Saint Laurent This outfit screams my name. Im all about wearing black to the beach, I mean hello! Black is SO flattering, everyone looks amazing in it! |

Suit: Triangl // Shoes: Old Navy // Bag: ShopBob // Towel: Jcrew
This is just a simple going to the beach outfit. Especially for those girls who love pink, just look at that bright top! |
These are just two outfit ideas, but I will tell you what my mother tells me, "An outfit is not complete without a good pair of earrings. I always put a little stud in when I go to the beach. It completes the whole look and make me feel put together.
3 Tips on bathing suit shopping:
When buying a new suit there are a few things to think about, and some tips to remember.
1. When getting new bottoms, always buy a size smaller.
When It comes to bottoms you always want to get one size smaller than you normally do. This is because when you hit the water, the bottoms begin to grow. No one wants that saggy flat on your bottom. So when shopping for bottoms, look for puckering on the sides, if there is a lot maybe go for a smaller size. If not then you have found a winner!
2. Whats the color for you?
When picking a suit you want to find something that looks god, right? I know I do. So think about the colors or patterns that look better on you. Personally I can't wear patterns, no matter how hard I try it never works, so I shoot for solids. The big factor in this is skin tone, if you're darker then you have a larger variety and can even go into the neon side of colors, if you're lighter in tone its safer to stay on the darker end of the spectrum. (This is my own opinion, feel free to correct me!)
3. Price too high?
Swimwear can be expensive, yes, this is a given. Especially if its designer, but a swimsuit is like a pair of shoes. You're going to wear it... a lot, so why not spend good money on one that will last you! I have suites ranging from $20-$90 only for the bottom, I won't even mention the tops price. But I realized when I spent more on the suit Its lasted me longer than the cheaper priced suit. I have suits from about 4 years ago that look brand new.
I love swimwear and have worked at a swim boutique for women for about 5 years now, If you have any questions on finding the best fit, feel FREE to ask! I would be happy to answer anything!
